Facebook and Oculus previewed React VR, its cross-platform VR language that allows developers to create simple VR apps that can be viewed on any VR device. React VR allows developers to create one web app that can be used across VR devices, from browsers to mobile headsets to desktop VR headsets, making it unnecessary to create separate apps for each device.
Facebook has been very bullish about VR and 360. Recently, it announced the launch of 360 Live, which will enable 360 livestreaming on Facebook.
A man playing a horror game on the HTC Vive was so immersed that he ran and smashed his face into a wall, requiring stitches. Here's the video.
The Insta360 Nano is a 360 camera for the iPhone, designed for ease of use and convenience. However, it can also be a powerful filmmaking tool if used with the right technique, as demonstrated in this short video.
You can use the Insta360 Nano with a modified adapter on an iPhone 5 (with limits), or iPhone 5S or iPhone SE. The adapter is inexpensive, and the modification takes less than 5 minutes. It also works with some smartphone cases.
Correction: it appears the Nano is not fully compatible with iPhone 5 - photo works, but there are errors when shooting video. iPhone 5S and SE have no issues. Thanks to Skip Hunt for bringing this to my attention!

There have been many new games and apps for the Samsung Gear VR in the last few months. One of the most impressive new releases is Fusion Wars, an online co-op tank game with cross-platform gameplay.
EmuVR.net's Desk Scene is a utility that can enable you to see each of your Oculus Rift's sensors' coverage. Seeing each sensor's coverage would help you adjust their position and angle to optimize coverage and minimize occlusion.
