Nikon Keymission 360 Wi-Fi connectivity problems might be fixed with iOS update

Several people have complained about not being able to pair their Nikon Keymission 360 with their smartphone.  Fortunately, there might be a simple solution, at least for iOS users.
Reader Rodney Black reports that he had difficulty pairing his Nikon Keymission 360 with his iPhone until he upgraded to iOS 10.1, and now he's able to pair his phone with his Keymission.  The 10.1 update to iOS had a slew of improvements, but among them is that it improves Bluetooth connectivity with 3rd party devices.  The Keymission needs both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in order to connect to a phone.

I don't know yet if Android users are encountering connectivity problems as well.  But when I get my Keymission (due today), I will test it with both iOS and Android.

Thank you very much to Rodney for sharing this valuable tip with the community!

UPDATE: Here is a tutorial for connecting the Nikon Keymission 360 to your iPhone or Android phone.
